Relax on any of the 3 private decks or soak in the hot tub overlooking the Smokey Mountains.

Must be 25 in order to book.

PARKING: Two to three full size vehicles will fit in the private drive in front of the cabin. Overflow parking is available at the entrance of the community, near the catch and release pond.

ACCESS: The front door has an electronic keypad for contactless check in. All access codes will be provided to you at least 24 hours prior to arrival unless it is same-day check in.

GETTING THERE: The road is paved all the way from the main road to the cabin There is a STEEP area as you enter through the main gate and it continues until you reach the turn for our cabin. If you are not used to mountain driving, the hill may be intimidating the first time, but by the second time, you will be a pro. Tip - do not be afraid to give it gas and don't let off until you are up the steep part of the road. Snow and ice are not common in the area, but 4WD or AWD may be necessary in the winter months. We do not provide refunds for any weather related-issues, including access to the cabin due to weather conditions. **Trust me, the climb is worth it and you can do it!**

CRITTERS: There are critters AND bears in the area. If you encounter a bear, do not feed or try to approach it. And don't worry, we don't charge extra for the critters...they're included.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:

Must sign rental agreement upon booking

Must submit a $500 off-platform security hold. This hold will be scheduled after booking but will not be placed until 2 days prior to arrival and released 5 days after departure, if no damages are reported.

We encourage all guests to purchase TRAVEL INSURANCE through the platform or privately. Life happens and travel insurance will help protect your trip (reimburse cost if cancelled) in the event you cannot make it

Hi there! I'm so glad you're here. My name is Kate and I would like to personally welcome you to our family’s Smoky Mountain cabin! We are very excited to share this amazing home with you during your travels to the beautiful Smoky Mountain area.

I will be your host and will be available to answer any questions you have prior to check in and/or during your stay at Bear Watch. My #1 priority is comfort, experience and ensuring you are able to make new memories during the moments that matter most (vacation!).
